Community Events and Resources
Techsploration is engaged with our community; making contact with like-minded organizations, using industry resources, and collaborating with other groups are a few of the ways we network in order to achieve our goals.
Hoist is a tech club for teens interested in coding, design or entrepreneurship. If you’re age 12 to 19 and have an interest in startups or coding, then come check it out! Everyone is welcome, and it’s free! Meet up with Hoist members once per month, with occasional one-time events like attending an entrepreneurship class at a local university.

Youth Ambassadors in Canada Program (Apply by March 31, 2017)
The Youth Ambassadors Program with Canada is a three-week exchange for Canadian students and adult mentors to visit the United States. The goals are to promote mutual understanding between the United States and Canada, increase leadership skills, and position youth to make a difference in their communities.
The primary goal of Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Atlantic is to encourage young women to consider careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathmatics.

Published December 14, 2011, by Statistics Canada, this report offers a statistical analysis of women’s activities in Canada. The report includes in-depth sections about paid work, unpaid work, economic well-being, and education complete with helpful tables and charts- find it here.

The Worker’s Compensation Board of Nova Scotia works to raise awareness of workplace injury and how to prevent it. Throughout the province, they insure over 90,000 employers and 300,000 employees.
