Welcome Back!

Not only is it a new school year, but it’s also Techsploration’s 15th anniversary! Welcome back to all our Techsploration alumnae, teachers, and future Techsplorers. We’re gearing up for another year of exciting programs and events and looking forward to introducing everyone to some awesome careers in science, trades and technology. We lined-up some fantastic new role models over the summer who we’ll soon introduce at our 50 scheduled events throughout the year.

Soon, posters will start popping-up around school: if you were part of Techsploration previously, tell people about us! Techsploration is open to all grade nine girls in participating schools: tell them about our program, what we do, and what a great time you had at the Techsplorer Event last year. In addition to learning about many cool jobs, there are contests, great prizes, and even an overnight trip—it’s a lot of fun.

Join us at this year’s Alumnae Conference on November 2—write it down! All Techsploration alumnae are invited to participate in this day-long event at the NSCC Akerley Campus where you will have an opportunity to meet even more role models, take part in fun workshops, and of course, enjoy lunch. Talk to your Techsploration teacher about coming.

Sponsors and teachers should mark their calendars for our Annual Launch on Friday, December 7 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Halifax Regional School Board Head Office in Burnside. Join us as we celebrate 15 years of success in Nova Scotia—we have some exciting announcements to share in honour of our anniversary that you won’t want to miss. We’re also bringing back Sweet and Savory Catering.

We look forward to seeing everyone again soon; check back often for event updates, news and contests!
