For Alumnae
As a Techsploration Alumna, you’ve participated on a school team and we hope you will stay involved.
We will soon be celebrating 15 years of Techsploration! For this exciting event, we’d like to contact as many Alumna as possible. Please sign up to register and then check back often so we can keep you updated.
High School Alumnae
If you are still in high school, you can volunteer to help with the organization of events or with the younger students coming through the program. Here are some ideas:
- Assist teachers with selecting the new school team
- Help at your school’s “Techsploration Goes to School” event
- Be a speaker or volunteer at the Techsplorer Event
- Be a “big sister” at the Techsplorer Event
- Attend or participate in the Annual Launch.
Also, don’t forget about our special event, just for you — the annual Techsplorer Alumnae Conference on Friday, November 2, 2012. Over 100 Techsploration alumnae will meet at NSCC’s Akerley Campus in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia for a one-day conference.
Young women, like you, in grades 10, 11 and 12 will meet more role models—women working in exciting and challenging careers, such as firefighter, IT specialist and architectural technician. You can find out how they got into their field, what they like best about it and whether or not it might be a good fit for you.
Read about Techsploration’s Statement of Respect, which governs all of our activities and events.
High School Graduates
If your life and career path were impacted by a role model, please remember:
- YOU too can become a Techsploration role model.
- you can be a speaker, volunteer or emcee at Techsploration events
