Techsploration Goes To Work

January 14 - March 31

Once a school team has been assigned a role model, one of the first things the students do is interview her about her career at her workplace. This provides an opportunity for the young women to experience the work-place environment and their role model’s day-to-day activities. This is a very exciting day! For example, Techsploration teams have experienced:

  • flying in a helicopter with an aircraft mechanic
  • attending a “dig” with a forensic scientist
  • designing websites with a website designer
  • going behind the scenes with Canada Border Service Agents
  • and so much more!

This is always a memorable day for Techsplorers and role models alike!

Add to Calendar January 14 March 31 Canada/Atlantic Techsploration Goes To Work The 1st phase of Techsploration's core programming is a worksite experience with a female role model employed in a science, engineering, trades, or technology career.
“I just want to thank you for all you do for us. We had a great time at our workplace visit. Matter of fact, it was awesome. We even went on a helicopter. The girls had a great time and they were talking about it all the way home. Welalin.”
