Breaking Barriers

Meet our field placement student, Amy. She is a bright, ambitious professional writing student at Algonquin College who plans to pursue scriptwriting. Amy has loved writing stories ever since she read Harry Potter for the first time.

Amy has Cerebral Palsy, however, she doesn’t let that stop her from pursuing her dream of becoming a writer. She also loves paraskiing, theatre, and attending her specialized summer camp for people with disabilities.

Amy would like to help remove obstacles for other people with disabilities by empowering and inspiring them to realize their full potential, which aligns with Techsploration’s mission and mandate.

Amy wants to represent her community in Hollywood, and she hopes that she can do that with her writing and scriptwriting dreams.
