Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency Expands the Apprenticeship START Program
We celebrate International Human Rights Day today with Techsploration Founding Program Partner, the Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency (NSAA). The Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Agency is committed to respecting the human rights of all Nova Scotians as well as promoting opportunities for all Nova Scotians. This means that the Apprenticeship Agency actively works to improve access to and participation in the apprenticeship and trades certification system by Aboriginal persons, African Nova Scotians, differently-abled persons, immigrants, women and members of other under-represented groups.
In alignment with their commitment to equity and inclusion, NSAA has announced the expansion of the Apprenticeship START Program. As of November 1, 2020, the Apprenticeship START Program has been expanded to include employers who register new or experienced apprentices located anywhere in Nova Scotia (including the Halifax Regional Municipality, Truro, and Sydney). This expansion is in place until October 31, 2021.
